The Prime Minister just promised to fix Westminster's broken voting system in his big conference speech. Don't let Westminster shelve it again.

Speaking from the main stage at Labour Conference, Andy Burnham said his government will hold a National Commission on Electoral Reform.

"We will contest the next election with a manifesto commitment to change the electoral system so that everyone's vote counts and everyone's voice is heard."

"Today I am announcing a new National Commission on Electoral Reform. I invite all the political parties to part of its work."

This is a big step, and it came about because of years of pressure from people like you. But promises made at Conference don't change the law. Now we need to make sure this one is kept.

Electoral reform has been promised and shelved before. The more names we have, the harder it is to do again.
