Why is waiting for them to resign seemingly the only option? Demand an elected House of Lords, so we can decide who is kicked out of our parliament.
Right now, members of the House of Lords are unelected and nearly impossible to remove, even when their behaviour shocks the public. It’s time voters, not patronage and privilege, decide who sits in our second chamber.

Lord Mandelson decided to resign, but that was a decision that he made entirely himself. Not by you, not by Parliament. Him alone.
Even when faced with a major scandal, the only route to remove a peer's title is through a full Act of Parliament.
