The antiquated hereditary peers are finally on their way out. But we can’t let the Government stop here on Lords reform.

Even when the hereditary peers are gone, the Lords will continue to be stuffed full of hundreds of undeserving, unelected political appointees. That’s not good enough.
The Government needs to finish what they started and replace these unelected peers with a fully elected second chamber.
If we don’t push them now to take action, the government could just continue packing the Lords with whoever they please, forever.
